What sets your photography & services apart from others in the industry?

What sets me apart from others in the industry is my passion for the natural world and my artful approach to visual storytelling. I believe that every moment, every detail, and every subject has a unique story to tell. With a keen eye for composition, lighting, and color, I strive to capture the beauty and essence of each subject in a way that is both authentic and captivating.

My love for the outdoors and nature is reflected in my work, as I specialize in outdoor and adventure photography, including landscapes, wildlife, and outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking, camping, overlanding, backpacking, etc. Whether shooting in a rugged wilderness or the urban jungle, I approach each project with the same dedication and attention to detail, striving to capture images that tell a compelling story and evoke an emotional response.

I work closely with my clients to understand their vision and goals, and then use my technical expertise and artistic eye to create images that are both beautiful and effective. I believe that photography has the power to move people, to inspire them, and to tell powerful stories. So if you're looking for a photographer who is truly passionate about the natural world, who brings a unique and artful perspective to every shoot, and who is dedicated to helping you achieve your goals, then contact me today!

How much do you charge for your photography services?

My prices vary depending on the specific needs of your project, such as the type of photography needed, the duration of the shoot, and the intended usage of the photos. I offer both hourly rates and full-day rates, as well as licensing options for commercial usage of my photos. I also offer a range of affordable pricing packages for small businesses.

Licensing fees are typically higher for images used for commercial purposes, such as advertising, because they typically provide the client with exclusive rights to use the image for a specific period of time and in specific contexts. The cost of licensing will depend on factors such as the length of time the license is needed, the scope of usage, and whether the license is exclusive or non-exclusive.

I understand that every project is unique and I'm happy to provide a customized quote for your specific needs. Please don't hesitate to contact me to discuss your project and pricing options further.

How many images can we expect to receive from our photoshoot?

Each photoshoot is different, but I offer photography packages that range from 5 to 200+ images. Whether you only need a few photos or a bulk library of images, I can offer a package that fits your needs.

What is your turnaround time for delivering the final images?

Turnaround time for image delivery will vary depending on a number of factors, such as the type of editing and retouching required, how many images are being delivered, the delivery method, and my current workload with other projects. I generally strive to have images delivered within 5-7 business days after the shoot is complete, but rush delivery can usually be arranged for an additional fee.

Do you provide any post-production or editing services?

I edit & retouch every photo I deliver to my clients, based on their needs, but post-production and editing services can be arranged separately, if necessary.

What type of equipment do you use for your photography services?

I use Sony A7-series cameras (currently the A7R III) & Sony G-Master lenses, the DJI Mavic 3 drone, Adobe Lightroom & Adobe Photoshop.

How do you handle photo usage rights and licensing?

I understand the importance of providing my clients with the necessary usage rights and licensing for their images. When you work with me, I will provide you with a licensing agreement that outlines the specific terms of use for your images.

The licensing agreement will vary depending on the intended use of the images, such as for commercial advertising or editorial purposes. I will work with you to determine the appropriate usage rights and licensing needed for your specific project.

It's important to note that while you will have the rights to use the images for your intended purpose, I retain the copyright to the images. This means that you cannot sell, license or modify the images without my permission.

If you have any questions about photo usage rights and licensing, please feel free to contact me. I'm happy to discuss the details of licensing and how it can work for your project.

Do you offer discounts for multiple bookings or referrals?

I’m happy to offer discounts when you book multiple photoshoots at the same time and/or whenever a new client you’ve referred books a photoshoot with me.

Additionally, I also offer a cost-sharing pricing model in qualifying cases. The cost-sharing pricing model is a way for multiple clients to split the cost of a photography session or shoot. This can be an affordable option for small businesses or individuals who may not have the budget to hire a photographer on their own. Each client pays a portion of the photographer's fees and in return receives access to the photos produced during the session. The photographer retains copyright ownership of the images, but clients can license the photos for their own purposes, such as marketing or advertising.

What is your cancellation policy?

In the case of cancellation of the shoot by a client at any time after an estimate is signed, the client shall pay all expenses incurred by the photographer up to the time of cancellation, plus a fee equal to 50% of the photography and usage fees agreed to on the estimate. In the case of cancellation on the part of the client within seven days prior to the scheduled shoot date, the full photography and usage fee will be due, along with any previously-incurred expenses related to the project. If a shoot is postponed due to weather, the client will be responsible for all expenses incurred on each weather day, plus a daily photography fee to be agreed upon.

Note cancellation is not the same as postponing the shoot. Sometimes things come up (weather, scheduling conflicts, life events, etc.), so I do my best to work with my clients to reschedule shoots whenever necessary. No fees will be incurred when rescheduling a photoshoot for a future date.

Do you travel?

Yes! Travel is a core component of my lifestyle. While I love living and working in the Midwest, I welcome all opportunities to create photos anywhere around the world.

Do you shoot video?

Personally, I do not produce videos, but I have worked with many talented videographers who would be happy to join in on your project if you need high-quality video content. I’ll be happy to connect you with them or bring them in on a photo/video project if you need both!
